Overview
When you integrate Appstle Subscriptions with the Appstle Pickup & Delivery app, you can offer Local Pickup or Local Delivery for a specific purchase type (for example, subscription, one-time, or both) rather than for all purchases.
This means you can configure a location, choose the exact product or variant it applies to, and tie the pickup/delivery location to a chosen purchase type. The rates and location will then be available only for that purchase type at the product, cart, and checkout stages — and not for any other purchase type of the same product.
💡 Before you begin: Make sure both the Appstle Subscriptions app and the Appstle Pickup & Delivery app are installed on your store.
How it works
The setup happens across both apps and follows this flow:
Create a subscription plan in Appstle Subscriptions.
Add the relevant product(s) to that subscription plan and configure it.
Confirm the subscription/integrated widget appears on your product page.
Open the Appstle Pickup & Delivery app and start a location setup.
Select the specific product or variant and choose the purchase type.
Define the rates for that location.
Each step is explained in detail below.
Step 1: Create a subscription plan
First, set up the subscription plan in the Appstle Subscriptions app:
Log in to your Shopify Admin Panel.
Go to Apps → click Appstle Subscriptions.
Select Subscription Plans.
Click ➕ Create New Plan to begin setup.
Give the plan an internal Plan Name (for example, Weekly Coffee Plan). This name is for your reference only and is not shown to customers.

Step 2: Add the product and choose a billing type
Within the subscription plan, add the product(s) you want to make available as a subscription. You can search your entire product list or browse by collection. For more detail, see Assigning products to subscription selling plans.
Then attach a billing type. Appstle provides four options:
🔄 Pay As You Go — Customers are charged automatically per cycle.
💰 Prepaid One-Time — Customers prepay for a fixed number of deliveries.
🔁 Prepaid Auto-Renew — Customers prepay, and the plan renews automatically.
📦 Prepaid Separate Orders (Advanced) — Generates a separate order for each delivery.
You can also set one or more subscription frequencies (for example, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) to give customers more flexibility. Save the plan when you are done.
📝 Note: Keep track of the exact product or variant you add here — you will select the same target later in the Pickup & Delivery app.
Step 3: Confirm the widget appears on the product page
Once the subscription plan is configured, visit the product page on your storefront. Confirm that the subscription (or integrated/separate) widget is displaying correctly, and that customers can choose between a one-time purchase and a subscription purchase type.
Step 4: Open the Pickup & Delivery app and set up a location
Open the Appstle Pickup & Delivery app and begin a new location setup. This is where you configure which location offers Local Pickup or Local Delivery.
Step 5: Select the product or variant and the purchase type
Under the location you are setting up, select the specific product or variant this configuration should apply to. Then choose the purchase type.
You can set the purchase type to Subscription, One-time, or both, depending on which purchases should have the Local Pickup or Local Delivery option.
A customer who selects a matching purchase type for that product or variant will be able to use this location's Local Pickup or Local Delivery.
Step 6: Define the rates for the location
Finally, define the rates for this specific location. These rates apply to the location and purchase type you configured in the previous step.
✅ Result: The rates and location you set up will be available only for the selected purchase type(s) — they will not appear for any purchase type you did not select for the same product or variant.
