Give points for purchases (Product Purchase)

Watch how to set up the Product Purchase way to earn in Appstle Loyalty & Rewards: points for purchases, orders that count, when points arrive and the schedule.

What this video covers

The Product Purchase way to earn: opening it from Ways to earn, then step 1 Reward (points or store credit, how points are counted, the amount, and Most points per order), step 2 Orders that count (minimum order, tax and shipping, which orders, sale and discounted items, products to leave out, tags), step 5 When points arrive, step 6 Schedule, and saving. It ends on your store, where a customer's order adds points. Steps 3, 4 and 7 (Who can earn, How often, What customers see) are covered in a separate guide.

In short

  • Open Ways to earn in the app sidebar and click Product Purchase. The editor shows the preview on the left and the steps on the right.

  • Step 1, Reward: customers get Points or Store credit, counted Per $1 spent or Per order, and Points sets the amount. Under More options, Most points per order caps one order; leave it empty for no limit.

  • Step 2, Orders that count: Minimum order, Count tax and Count shipping decide what counts. Orders picks All orders, One-time or Subscriptions, and two switches choose whether a subscription's first order and its renewals earn. No points on sale items, No points on discounted items, Leave out products and the tag fields under More options leave orders or items out.

  • Step 5, When points arrive: Right away, After a waiting period (points stay pending for the days you set), or After you approve them on the Pending points page. Orders earn when they're placed; Change in Settings can make them wait until paid or fulfilled. Step 6, Schedule: Always on or Between dates, and Only on some days each month under More options.

  • Click Save in the title bar. On your store, the loyalty popup lists Product Purchase, and each order that counts adds points, listed in Transaction history.
