What this video covers
Steps 3, 4 and 7 of the Product Purchase way to earn in the Points program editor: Who can earn (customer tags, Guests earn too and Where it works), How often (how many times each customer can earn) and What customers see (name, description, icon, button link and the points history messages). It ends on your store, where the loyalty popup shows the new description. Steps 1, 2, 5 and 6 (Reward, Orders that count, When points arrive and Schedule) have their own video.
In short
Open Ways to earn, click Product Purchase, then choose Who can earn on the All steps list.
Step 3: Only customers with these tags limits this way to earn to customers with at least one of the tags (leave it empty to include everyone), and Not customers with these tags leaves out customers with any of them. Capital letters don't matter. Guests earn too gives points to shoppers who check out without an account. In Where it works, POS means only POS orders earn, and customers don't see it in the popup or on the loyalty page.
Step 4: switch on Limit how often a customer earns this, then set Times and a Period (per day, week, month, year or in total). Leave it off for no limit.
Step 7: edit one language at a time (switch languages in the toolbar). Change the Name, the Description (the points and amount placeholders fill in this rule's numbers), the Icon (click Change to pick another or upload your own), the Button link, Message when points arrive and Message after a refund. The Customers read line under the description and each message shows what customers will read.
Click Save in the title bar. On your store, the loyalty popup lists Product Purchase with the new description.
