What this video covers
The rest of a reward's settings in Ways to redeem, using an Amount off order reward: step 3, Reward code (your own prefix, how many times a code works, Code expiry and Code starts working after), step 5, Who can redeem (customer tags, a limit on how often a customer redeems, and customers who are left out), step 6, Where it works (Online store, Online store and POS or POS) and step 7, What customers see (Name, Description, Icon and After redeeming, customers see). It ends on your store, where the loyalty popup shows the new description and a customer redeems the reward for a code that starts with your prefix. Steps 1, 2 and 4 (Reward, Applies to and Combinations) are in the video on adding a reward.
In short
Open Ways to redeem, click a reward, and pick a step from All steps. Click Save in the title bar when you're done. Customer tags, blocked customers, a reward's own code expiry and POS need a higher plan.
Step 3, Reward code: switch on Start codes with your own prefix and type it; the line below shows what new codes look like. Each code works Once or More than once. To let a code work several times, choose More than once, set Times and switch off One use per customer; while it's on, each code works on one order. Turn on at least one limit on how often a code can be used. Under More options, Code expiry is Use the store setting, Never expire or Expire after a time you set, counted from when the code starts working. Code starts working after holds each new code back that many days, except codes redeemed at checkout or in POS. Codes come from a Shopify discount with the reward's name (View in Shopify opens it); if that discount is deleted, customers can't redeem the reward.
Step 5, Who can redeem: Only customers with these tags limits the reward to customers with at least one of them; the preview hides it, and Preview as VIP member shows what a tagged customer sees. Limit how often a customer redeems this sets a number of times per day, week, month or year, or in total; the note under it says how each period counts. Under More options, Not customers with these tags hides the reward from anyone with one of them, and These customers can't redeem it hides it from the customers you choose, even with the right tags.
Step 6, Where it works: Online store means customers redeem in the popup, on the loyalty page and at checkout; Online store and POS lets staff also apply it in Shopify POS; POS is for staff only and hidden online.
Step 7, What customers see: Name is the reward's title in the popup, on the loyalty page and at checkout, and the title of its Shopify discount. In Description, click a placeholder ({{points}}, {{discount}} or {{min_spend_amount}}) to insert it; the line below shows what customers read. Icon swaps the built-in icon for your own image, and After redeeming, customers see is the message shown in Your rewards and in the customer's points history.
