Sync SKU Changes

SKU is defined as the Stock Keeping Unit majorly used for inventory management purposes by the merchants. The use-case is quite common that a merchant changes the SKU of a product from the Shopify's product listing (due to a newer version of a product or some other reasons).

Whenever a subscription contract is created, the terminology of the contract is the terms of it remains the same as they were at the time the subscription was initiated. Due to this, what uses to happen was the recurring subscription orders were getting generated with an incorrect order SKU.

We have recently launched the flag that will make sure everytime a subscription order is supposed to be processed the SKU of it is taken as the updated SKU. To enable that:

  • Navigate to Shop Settings

  • Scroll down in Auto Sync Settings enable the trigger for Automatically propagate SKU changes to products in subscriptions

  • Click on Update and you are good to go.
