Shopify is growing by the day and different themes support different features (without any adjustments). If your theme isn't loading a Manage Subscription button in your customer account page, here's how you can fix it.
From your home page you'll want to navigate to Online Store from the left menu under Sales channels.
By default you'll be brought to your Themes section - but if not, just click that button to get to the screen below.
Now depending on where you want the button placed, there are two options. Don't get overwhelmed if you don't have any background in programming! If you simply follow the steps below, you'll be able to insert the button with ease.
Inserting the Manage Subscription button directly through theme editing:
This option is a bit more granular and won't allow for any customization of the location of your button, but completely avoids going into your theme's code. With this option you can simply insert the button directly!
From your Themes section, click Customize.
From there you'll need to click on Home page, which will bring down a dropdown menu. Now you'll want to search for customer, and click Customer account
Next, you'll have to actually log into a customer account (it can be any test account) in order to add the button. Once you've done that all that's left to do is look under Template and click Add section. Then click Apps and select Appstle's Manage Subscription Link.
It's as easy as that, your customer account page will now have the Manage Subscription button directly at the bottom of their account page!
Inserting the Manage Subscription button via our code snippet:
From your Themes section, click the three dots, and then Edit code.
Search the Filter files section with the following: "main-account.liquid" - no need to include the quotation marks.
Then click the section on the left with that title.
From here all you need to do is enter the code snippet below wherever you want your button to be placed.
<div id="appstle-subscription-manage-subscription-button-placeholder"></div>
In the example above we placed the code snippet just below, the customer's Log Out button, but the possibilities are endless. If you follow that placement exactly, your button will appear as it does in the screenshot below.
