Appstle Bundles & Discounts helps you sell more per order with volume discounts, bundles, free gifts, product discounts and shipping discounts. This guide takes you from your first visit to a live offer in four parts: turn on storefront display, create an offer, check it on your store, and make your offers look like part of your store.
Turn on storefront display
Storefront display is the Appstle Bundles app embed in your theme. It lets your store show your bundles, volume discounts and bundle pages, so turn it on before you create offers. Without it, shoppers don't see them.
Open Appstle Bundles from the Apps menu in your Shopify admin. The first time you open the app, it starts on a setup page called Enable storefront display.
Click Enable in Shopify theme. Your theme editor opens in a new tab.
Under App embeds, make sure Appstle Bundles is turned on, then click Save.
Go back to the app's tab. The app detects the change on its own. If it doesn't, click Refresh status.
When the embed is on, click Finish to open your Dashboard.
To finish later, click Exit onboarding, then Yes, exit. Until the embed is on, the Dashboard shows an Enable App Embed banner: click Enable to open the theme editor. Once it's on, the Dashboard shows Storefront display is enabled with a Live badge, and Manage in Shopify opens the theme editor again.
Create your first offer
On a new store, the Dashboard asks What do you want to build first? and shows four cards: Volume Discount, Classic Bundle, Dynamic Pricing Bundle and Fixed Pricing Bundle. Click Create on a card to start that offer, or View guide to read how it works. This section goes away once you've created one of these offers, or when you dismiss it.
To choose from every offer type, start from the Bundles & Discounts page instead:
Go to Bundles & Discounts in the app menu and click Create offer.
Click an offer type in the list. Switch between On the store and At checkout to preview how it looks.
Click the Start with button for that type, for example Start with Volume discount.
Follow the editor's steps, then click Launch offer. Nothing goes live until you do.
The offer types are grouped by what shoppers do. This table lists them, with the article for each one.
Group | Offer types |
Buy more | Reward shoppers who buy 2, 3 or more of a product: Volume discount, Buy X, get Y free, Progressive gifts, Mix and match and Different products. |
Buy products together | Sell products as a set or pair them: Combo bundle, Classic bundle and Buy X get Y. |
Build their own box | Let shoppers fill a box: Dynamic pricing bundle, Fixed pricing on its own page, Fixed pricing on a product page and Sectioned bundle. |
Get a simple discount | Take a percent or amount off, or make shipping free or cheaper: Product discount and Shipping discount. |
If you're not sure where to start, choose Volume discount. The list marks it Most popular.
Check the offer on your store
After you launch an offer, check it the way a shopper would:
Go to Bundles & Discounts in the app menu.
Point to the offer's row and click the eye icon, View on store. On a small screen, click the row's ⋯ button, then View on store. Your store opens on a page the offer covers.
Check that the offer shows and looks right. If a collection page opens, open one of its products first.
Add the offer to your cart and go to checkout to make sure the discount applies.
Shipping discounts don't have View on store. Check them at checkout, and in your store's announcement bar if it's on.
Make offers match your store
Open Design in the app menu. Your brand style holds the colors, corners and fonts that your offers share. By default, offers follow your theme's colors and fonts. Click Customize brand style to change them once, and every offer that uses your brand style updates.
Below it, Store-wide settings has four more areas, shared by every offer:
Texts shoppers read: change button labels and messages, and translate them.
Where offers show: check the app embed, and add blocks or snippets to pages your theme lets you edit.
Display settings: make store-wide choices, like how prices and badges show.
Custom CSS and HTML: add your own code for changes the settings can't make.
What to do next
Create more offers: go to Bundles & Discounts and click Create offer.
Review performance: open Analytics in the app menu to see conversions, orders and revenue.
Get help: open Help Docs in the app menu, or click Contact support at the bottom of the Dashboard.
FAQs
Why don't my offers show on my store?
Check that the Dashboard says Storefront display is enabled, that you clicked Launch offer rather than Save as draft, and that the offer covers the product you're viewing. If the Dashboard shows an Enable App Embed banner, click Enable, then click Save in the theme editor.
Do I need to edit my theme code?
Not for most offers. With storefront display on, offers show on the pages they cover: near the buy button, or on their own bundle page. To show an offer somewhere else, open Design → Where offers show. To add blocks by hand, see How to manually add bundle and discount blocks.
Which plan do I need?
Any plan. Every plan includes every offer type and discount tool, and plans differ only in how much bundle revenue they cover. To see or change your plan, open Billing in the app menu.
