Customer Portal Settings

Choose customer actions, edit portal text, and customize the appearance and login experience.

Use Customer Portal in the Appstle Subscriptions menu to choose what customers can do and customize the wording and appearance of their portal. Available options depend on your plan and portal type.

Configuration: choose customer actions

Choose the Classic Customer Portal or Shopify Extension Customer Portal where available. Some customization options apply only to the Classic portal.

Under Subscription Management, control whether customers can cancel, pause, and resume subscriptions. Other sections control actions such as skipping orders, editing products, and applying discounts.

Under Minimum Order Settings, use Lock subscriptions until the minimum number of orders to restrict changes before the subscription reaches its plan’s minimum. The nested options let you allow discount codes and product swaps while locked. These cancellation, pause, resume, and minimum-order settings also appear under More → Retention Management → Advanced Configuration.

Labels: edit customer-facing text

Open Labels → Edit texts. Click text in the portal preview to edit it, or use Search all texts. The Screen selector opens another page or dialog; Situation shows wording for a particular state, such as a paused subscription.

Edit labels in each of your store’s configured languages. Keep any dynamic variables intact so subscription-specific values still appear. Click Save in the text editor when finished.

Customization and Custom CSS

Use Customization to control the available visibility, font-size, reward-bar, and button-color settings. For example, you can hide selected portal elements or change button colors to match your brand. Some visibility options are in Configuration, including the Past Orders tab.

The Custom CSS tab is available for supported Classic portal styling. Check the actual portal after changing its appearance.

Manage Subscription Button

Use this tab’s guidance to add a Manage Subscription button to a supported theme, use a Shopify block, or place the provided HTML snippet in your theme. It also links to instructions for adding the portal to your store menu.

Customer Portal Login

Find your public login-page link, preview the page, and edit its login email wording. Customers can enter their email address and request a secure link to manage their subscriptions when this access option is enabled.

Use Update to save page settings. Then open a test subscription and check the portal type, language, buttons, and messages your customers will see. For cancellation reasons and offers, go to Retention Management.
